Full Sturgeon Moon Paddle & Bonfire Thursday, Aug 27th

Join us for a special summer evening on the water - everyone is invited to come out and paddle under the Sturgeon Moon! Just show up and enjoy the experience.

Gather at the beach by 8:15 PM. We’ll launch promptly at 8:30 PM, so please arrive early enough to have your kayak or paddleboard ready to go. We’ll paddle to a nearby island, take a short break, and then paddle back to the beach. The round trip will be approx. 45–60 minutes, with paddlers returning by 9:30 PM.

Want to enjoy the evening and the moonlight but don’t want to paddle? A bonfire will begin at the beach around 8:45 PM. Bring your own chair and whatever you’d like to enjoy around the fire. Cocktails? S’mores? The paddlers will join the fun when they return.

 Safety Guidelines 

The SC DNR requires all users to follow US Coast Guard safety regulations. Each participant must have:

1. A white light

2. A wearable flotation device on board

3. A whistle

A limited supply of extra lights and whistles will be available; however, it is each participant’s responsibility to comply with all safety guidelines.

Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
